Everyone’s path at SOGO CrossFit will be slightly different depending on their current fitness capacity, goals and preferences. We offer one-on-one coaching and group classes along with a variety of specialty programs.
Group Crossfit is the traditional class that include a skill-based warm-up, skill or strength training, the Workout of the Day (or “WOD”), and mobility work. The workouts can always be scaled so that new athletes can workout alongside veteran athletes. Keeping with the constantly varied aspect of crossfit you can expect any combination of movements from Olympic and power lifting, gymnastics, plyometrics, calisthenics, cardio. Task or time oriented, you may find yourself faced with a couplet, triplet, chipper or even multiple wods. We promise to continuously work to challenge you both physically and mentally in different ways, everyday.
Private Coaching is an amazingly effective and efficient way to achieve your individual fitness goals. Your coach will work with you to identify and clarify your fitness goals, assess your movement, and design a program specifically targeted at improving your deficiencies and optimizing your strengths, thereby enabling you to achieve your goals as quickly as possible. Private coaching is recommended if you have been sedentary for a long period of time, are training for a specific sport or event, have significant health limitations, or just prefer the additional attention and accountability.
The Olympic lifts, the snatch, clean and jerk, as well as variations such as the power snatch, power clean, power jerk, hang snatch, hang clean and more are often used by athletes to develop strength and explosiveness to improve performance in their sports.
