Coach and Owner Rachel Krumm is a 2011 business graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, where she was a 4 year scholarship athlete for the Rams DI Field Hockey team. Being active her entire life, she was searching for something after college with the same competitive nature she was raised in…that’s when her friend dragger her into her first box. She got her ass kicked and never looked back. Since that day she has used her time to learn as much about the “sport of fitness” as she can; from the Olympic lifts to gymnastic movements, endurance metcons to sprints; her enthusiasm to compete is met only by her love of coaching and teaching.
Since the 4 years she has participated in CrossFit, Rachel has competed in local competitions as well as National competitions. She competed in the CrossFit Games Regionals in 2013 and 2015, the 2015 Superfit Games Pro Championship, as well as qualified for the 2014 National Weightlifting Championship.
SoGo CrossFit has been a long time in the making, and she’s happy to be opening the doors to anyone and everyone who wants the opportunity to be a part of a great community and family.
Coach and Owner Hector De Jesus began CrossFitting in 2012 out of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He bounced around a few boxes there becoming involved with the community as a whole. He understands the importance of coaching diversity (different cues for different members) and gathers knowledge from wherever he can. Hector enjoys helping his peers in the gym and in June 2015, he passed his CrossFit Level 1 Certification. He’s excited to bring his experiences to SoGo CrossFit.
Hector lives a relaxed, yet competitive CrossFit lifestyle, placing in a few Superfit Games competitions. He enjoys CrossFit and all it has to offer.
Greg is a L1 Crossfit instructor and USAW Weightlifting Coach as well as graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a BA in Political Science. He has been involved with sports and fitness from a young age, competing in cross country, track, and soccer from elementary school into college. Greg has been a participant of Crossfit since 2012, and quickly fell in love with the sport and community.
While his passion is in competitively training and competing in Crossfit, Greg also has an extreme passion in the interests and advancement of all athletes no matter their experience. Greg demands progress. He is currently seeking the L2 Crossfit Instructor Certificate.

Josh is 27 years old and a Richmond native. He is currently the Fitness Director at Crunch Fitness and going to South University in pursuit to become a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant. Grew up playing sports baseball being his main love. Played at the collegiate level until shoulder injuries hindered his career. That along with deeper purposes led him into the fitness industry.
“Fast forward; my best friend invited me to try this crossfit thing out. Both of us being competitive with each other; there was some smack involved. Needless to say I was humbled by Helen and realized I was not overall that fit. I was hooked with the crossfit methodology. It didn’t take long when I realized how amazing the community was. Sports and physical fitness have always been a huge part of Kayla’s lifestyle. She started
weightlifting and training in college but was always seeking bigger challenges. Shortly after she
graduated, she was introduced to CrossFit and has not looked back since. The high intensity
workouts and the amount of devotion put into coaching and training was exactly what she was
Kayla’s 3 rd year of CrossFit is approaching, and she has competed in several local competitions
as well as in the Elite Female Team Division at the Wodapalooza Fitness Festival with her
fellow SoGo MoFo’s. Her passion for CrossFit not only allows her to become the best version of
herself, but it gives her the ability to encourage and inspire others to conquer their physical
fitness goals as well!
